Artist Discription

My art is my meditation.
It allows me to go into that creative zone where my inspiration drives my hands rather than my thoughts. In order to be in this place I need to be very knowledgeable about my tools and materials.  I take a lot of classes which constantly upgrades my skill level. I have explored many mediums from embroidery, bookarts,and painting to metalwork. I love to combine techniques from one to another to create a new look. I enjoy working with and exploring ideas from nature and the beauty I see around me. This shows up in my work with fibers, dolls, jewelry and 2D art forms like encaustic collage and painting.

My husband, children and grandchildren are my inspiration. They fill me with laughter and joy. For the past 40 years I've taught young and old souls.I recentlly retired from classroom teaching. I love to spend my quiet time in my studio and working in my garden. I hope my art enriches you as much as it has enriched me in its creation.
